Talk & Reception: Pierre Conlon Book Collection


Please join McMaster University Library for a talk by Dr. William Hanley, Professor, Department of French, on the career and influence of distinguished McMaster scholar, Pierre Conlon (1924-2014) whose research helped to re-energize and revolutionize eighteenth-century French studies.

Location: Levy Gallery, McMaster Museum of Art (located in the Alvin A. Lee Building, University Ave. at Sterling St.)

Guests are invited to attend a reception following this talk, and will have the opportunity to explore The Age of Enlightenment: the Pierre Conlon Book Collection,* an exhibit focusing on selected books from Professor Conlon’s extensive personal collection, now housed in McMaster’s William Ready Division of Archives and Research Collections. The exhibition is a tribute to Pierre Conlon’s extraordinary scholarship and his contribution to McMaster University.
