Phishing scam targeting McMaster


There have been many reports of a targeted phishing attacks against the McMaster community today. The malicious email message offers recipients an upgrade to the Outlook Web Application, and requires that they visit an URL and provide their credentials. The purpose of this message is to steal your credentials.

The sender of the malicious message is “Rocky Dwyer”, and they have subject lines such as:

“Admin update !!”

“To All Students/Employees”

The message contains a link to a web site that resembles the MacMail web page. Closer inspection of the URL reveals that it is not with the mcmaster.ca domain.
