Parking transponder exchange program update

This is an update on the transponder exchange program. We have successfully started the installation of new gate equipment to all campus lots on Tuesday May 24^th. The process is expected to be complete by June 3^rd 2016.

New transponders were made available as of last week to enable permit holders to obtain them in advance of the installation of new equipment. We would like to thank all those that have taken advantage of the ‘early pick up’ option and picked up their new transponders.

We would also like to remind those that have not already picked up their transponder to do so as soon as possible. After your lot has been installed with new equipment, you will not be able to get in and out of your lot unless you have the ‘new’ transponder properly mounted. Before the installation date, you will need your 3M to let you in so please keep this also affixed to your car until June 3^rd.

For example, if you hold a permit for Lot H, your current 3M transponder will continue to allow access to this lot until May 31 2016 and as of June 1 2016 only the ‘new’ transponder will work to allow access into Lot H.
