Nominations now open for President’s Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Teaching and Learning

Nominations are now open for the President’s Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Teaching and Learning 2015. These awards demonstrate the value McMaster attaches to its educational function and recognizes those who, through innovation and commitment, have significantly enhanced the quality of their students’ learning experience.

All full-time and part-time faculty and staff who contribute to teaching and learning at McMaster are eligible to be nominated for these awards. Up to three awards will be made each year.

The nomination process is straightforward. The call for nominations sets out full details of the process and criteria for the awards. The first step is to submit a short Nomination Brief which outlines the nominee’s excellence in teaching and the impact that the nominee has on student learning. Nominators should complete the form-fillable nomination brief and submit the completed form to miietl@mcmaster.ca no later than 4:00pm on Friday, January 23, 2015. The selection committee will then review the nomination briefs and invite selected nominees to develop and submit a nomination portfolio by March 13, 2015.  Further information and support can be obtained from miietl@mcmaster.ca or at: http://miietl.mcmaster.ca/site/presidents-award/.
