McMaster appoints new HR lead

The University has announced that Wanda McKenna has been appointed Assistant Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer following a national search.

McKenna has held several positions of progressing responsibility within HR including her current role as executive Director of Human Resources Services.

“Wanda has been an outstanding part of our Human Resources department,” said Roger Couldrey, vice-president, Administration. “Her new mandate will be to continue to build the capabilities of our very strong HR unit in support of Forward with Integrity, the academic and research missions of the University and the student experience.”

McKenna joined McMaster 14 years ago and is well known in the campus community. “It has been an amazing opportunity to see and help to support the University’s growth and diversification,” said McKenna. “McMaster has always seen the people who work here as its greatest resource and by working together I know that we can help to build even greater opportunities for the McMaster community.”

McKenna’s appointment takes effect January 1, 2016.
