Involved in international activities? Contribute to Mac’s global compendium

To highlight and promote internationalization and global engagement at McMaster University, and in keeping with The McMaster Model for Global Engagement: A Strategy Document, the Global Health Office and Office of International Affairs are requesting your assistance in compiling an interactive inventory of international activities from 2014 to 2017.

In its third edition, the McMaster University International Compendium will provide essential information to highlight individual and group faculty activities. The 2014 International Compendium demonstrated our global impact, with faculty involved with projects in over 130 countries exceeding over 1250 partnerships. This will update all faculty data, providing a representation of individual and group global involvement.

The compendium will be digitized and published as part of a new website showcasing McMaster’s global reach shortly after the collection period. The website will be designed to facilitate internal coordination and collaboration, to foster new partnerships within the institution and with external parties, and to increase student participation in global engagement initiatives. The development of this website is one of a series of new projects and initiatives responding to the strategic imperatives of the McMaster Model for Global Engagement.

It is vital for the success of this institutional initiative that all faculty involved with international activities contribute to the compendium. Contributions can be made by completing a brief form available online by Thursday, August 31, 2017.
