Innovative ideas with social or commercial impact could win you $1000

Do you have a solution to a tangible social or technical problem? Or a great concept that’s better, faster, or cheaper than what’s currently utilized by the public or featured in the marketplace? There’s $3000 in cash on the table for this year’s Innovation Showcase Poster Competition, awarding $1000 each in the categories of Commercialization Impact and Social Impact, plus a People’s Choice category.

If you’re a Mac researcher, student, faculty or staff member, you can demonstrate how your ideas will make a difference by submitting your poster abstract by Wednesday November 2nd.    You can find more information, poster guidelines and logistics on the Poster Competition Entry Form and if you want to see – and be inspired by— the abstracts that won the last Poster Competition, you can find those here.

Innovation Showcase 2016 takes place on Wednesday November 10 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm at the McMaster Innovation Park Atrium, First Floor. This year’s Showcase is focused on encouraging students, post-docs and new faculty to pursue entrepreneurship and commercialization. Take a look at this year’s agenda – you’re going to want to register yourself for this free event on Eventbrite.
