Fall Convocation: Nominations open for valedictorians

Nominations are open for valedictorians at Fall Convocation ceremonies.

This is an opportunity for graduating students to nominate a fellow graduating student — undergraduate or graduate — who they think best represents the student community at McMaster.

Two valedictorians (one for each convocation ceremony) will be chosen based on:

  • High academic achievement
  • Potential and demonstrated leadership (personal, academic, volunteerism)
  • Communication skills

For eligibility requirements or to download the nomination package, visit the School of Graduate Studies website.

The deadline for nominations is 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28. Nomination packages must be submitted to the School of Graduate Studies, Gilmour Hall, Room 212.
