CREST 2016: WISE’s annual interdisciplinary research and mentorship conference

The McMaster Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Initiative is pleased to invite you to our upcoming Current Research in Engineering, Science & Technology (CREST) Meeting, which will take place at McMaster University on Thursday March 10th, Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th of 2016. CREST is an interdisciplinary celebration, not only of women in science and engineering, but also of the exciting research being conducted in these domains more broadly.

The deadline to SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT has been extended to February 12, 2016. Registration for participants costs $5.00, which will be donated to YWCA Hamilton (after Eventbrite fees). CREST offers an excellent venue for students, postdocs, and faculty of all genders to present their research in an interdisciplinary environment, network with local academics, and learn more about research opportunities in academia or industry through a series of Professional Development Workshops, interactive Career Panels, and social mixers. We are proud to announce this year’s Keynote Speaker, Susana López Charretón, an accomplished virologist from National Autonomous University of Mexico and recipient of L’Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science (2012), Carlos J. Finlay Prize for Microbiology (2001), and The World Academy of Sciences (2008).
