Call for Nominations

Please accept this notice as an official call for nominations for the title of University Scholar (US).

The deadline for nominations is November 1, 2017.  The subsequent deadline for the submission of the full package of information for those candidates selected to move on to the final phase will be February 1, 2018.  The Faculty selection committee will make its recommendation to the Senate Committee on Appointments by March 1, 2018.

Please forward by November 1 (addressed and delivered via email or hardcopy to theFaculty Dean) a letter of nomination (maximum 3 pages) signed by four individuals, at least two of whom must be McMaster professors.  Self-nomination is not acceptable.  The letter should address all aspects of the selection criteria, paying particular attention to why they feel the nominee is a complete scholar.  The nominee’s CV is also required.
