SOTA Concert: Cheng² Duo

Welcome to an exciting new season of concerts organized by the School of the Arts! We have had the pleasure to host guest musicians with strong national and international reputations for over 40 years. This year makes our first season in the impressive new Concert Hall in the most recently completed building on McMaster’s campus, the L.R. Wilson Hall.

Tuesday lunchtime (12:30 p.m.) concerts are free to attend. Friday evening concert (8 p.m.) tickets are regular $20, senior $15, and student $5. A subscription to all four Friday evening concerts is regular $60 and senior $45.

We hope you will join us for our 2017 – 18 Concert Series that draws on music traditions from around the world, and the official opening of an important new venue for concerts in Hamilton.

Committed to bringing classical music to 21st-century audiences through innovative programming and engaging presentations, the Cheng² Duo (pronounced Cheng Squared Duo) has been making music together for the past 13 years. Named one of CBC Music’s 2015 “30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30,” this sibling duo comprises of cellist Bryan Cheng and pianist Silvie Cheng.
