Westdale Secondary School’s Sharon Yang has won this year’s Canadian National Brain Bee.

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research National Brain Bee, held June 1 at McMaster, tests high school students’ knowledge of neuroscience and patient diagnosis.

Topics ranged from memory and sleep to intelligence and brain-imaging.

Yang’s win earned her a trip to Vienna in September for an international brain bee competition.
