Hospitality Services Executive Chef Paul Hoag and Chef Manager John Barreda have attained their Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) designation.

The designation is the second highest professional culinary recognition and accreditation in the world. It represents the culmination of the highest standards of managerial and administrative responsibilities, culinary skills and dedication to the cooking profession.

Chef Hoag and Chef Barreda were among the 20% of chosen applicants who were successful in attaining CCC status.

The two McMaster chefs went through a 5-month intensive program consisting of in-class courses, an 8-hour final written exam and a 7-hour cooking exam consisting of six courses.

McMaster is proud to have not one, but two CCC chefs on staff!
