Student supports dad with stiff, hairy upper lip
Lots of men grow moustaches for “Movember.” But few grow full-fledged works of facial art.
That’s what Michael Romaniuk did last month, in support of the annual November fundraising and awareness program dedicated to supporting men’s health.
Each day, Romaniuk styled his moustache in a different way – in the style of Colonel Sanders, or Uncle Sam, for instance – and posted photos of himself on social media.
The continuing education student in Kinesiology got the idea for the project after his father was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
He says it has become a sort of coping mechanism, which helps him face the hard times.
The unique photos helped him raise nearly $2,000 for this year’s campaign.
