Social media campaign highlights community impact of universities

The Council of Ontario Universities wants to show the world how universities transform communities.

A new social media campaign by the organization is sharing the many ways universities positively affect local, national and international communities.

The Council and its 20 member organizations are tweeting and posting messages to Facebook about university grad employment rates, research advances, economic impact and more.

One COU tweet highlights the fact that 87 per cent of university graduates have jobs within six months of graduation.

Another boasts about grads’ high civic engagement levels.
