Senior McMaster leaders and students tackled some tough questions on the future of education recently.

President Patrick Deane, Provost David Wilkinson, AVP Teaching and Learning Arshad Ahmad and Students Union President Teddy Saull were among those at the first LearningXChange event.

Co-hosted by Teaching and Learning Canada and the McMaster Institute for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning Oct. 17-19, the conference explored issues such as engaging students in life-long learning, leveraging technology to personalize education and bridging content and skills development.

The goal was to generate dialogue and actionable ideas to enhance the student experience and re-imagine pathways to higher education.

More than 40 people from institutions across Canada, the U.S., U.K. and Australia attended the LearningXChange.

Teaching and Learning Canada was created by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
