Provost: McMaster making important progress on FWI

poster session

Thursday's State of the Academy presentation included poster sessions devoted to showcasing some of the many projects supported by Forward With Integrity funding.

David Wilkinson, Provost and Vice-President (Academic), delivered the annual State the Academy presentation Thursday to an audience of more than 300 faculty, staff and students from across McMaster.

The presentation highlighted the progress of Forward with Integrity and showcased some the many innovative FWI projects and initiatives that have emerged over the past year.

“FWI has significantly impacted activity in four key areas: pedagogical innovation, student engagement, community engagement and research collaboration and innovation,” says Wilkinson. “The developments in each of these areas speak to the important progress we are making toward achieving the goals of FWI.”

Faculty, staff and students from across McMaster talk about some of the Forward with Integrity projects funded over the past year.

Wilkinson also shared information around a number of University priorities, including the recently launched McMaster Learning Portfolio, the alternative budget model – on track to roll out later this year – and Mosaic, McMaster’s project to modernize administrative and business processes and implement an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Earlier in the day, the Provost hosted an informal session that showcased the many innovative Forward with Integrity projects currently underway and featured posters and presentations by McMaster students and faculty.

At this event, the McMaster community had the chance to learn more about some of the FWI initiatives funded in the calls for proposals and talk to the faculty, staff and students involved in these projects.
