President, Provost update community on State of the Academy

President Patrick Deane and Provost David Wilkinson spoke at the annual State of the Academy presentation Tuesday in Convocation Hall.

This year’s presentation featured a new format, which included a conversation between the Provost and the President.

The pair updated the community on McMaster’s progress over the past year and discussed the year to come.

Topics of discussion included Forward with Integrity’s progress to date and next steps, the University’s systems renewal and enterprise resource planning project, an update on the alternative budget model, the current environment for the post-secondary sector in Ontario (including the release of the University’s Strategic Mandate Agreement) and a conversation about internationalization.
