Transportation to McMaster by Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) and Go Transit buses will be reduced next week.

For HSR, service east and west of McMaster will only be provided by the 5C West Hamilton/5A Delaware every 30 minutes. Service to the University on weekdays is usually provided by the 51 University, 1A King, 10 Beeline and 5C West Hamilton/5A Delaware. This is a significant decrease in service, and as a result, those traveling to and from Dundas and Ancaster should take note of changes to the bus schedule.

Between Dec. 22 and Jan. 2, Go Transit's 407 “school extras” service will not run. These buses are noted with a black diamond on GO's paper schedules and on GO's Web site with the word “school”.

Friday's “Express to Union” will not run on Friday, Dec 26, or Friday, Jan 2.

Regular service will resume Jan 5, 2004.

Other 407 express service through McMaster is not affected and there will be no changes to the Burlington “Train Meet” service.

The Compass Info Centre, located in the McMaster University Student Centre marketplace, is closed until Mon. Jan 5, 2004. Transit tickets and passes are sold from this location.
