The Forward with Integrity Advisory Group has received 84 applications in response to a University-wide call for research focused proposals made earlier this year.

The call for proposals was open to faculty, students and staff and was meant to foster interdisciplinary research and collaborative projects.

“I am delighted with the response to the current call for proposals,” said McMaster’s President, Patrick Deane. “I want to sincerely thank all those who submitted their project ideas and demonstrated that the McMaster community is committed to exploring new paradigms of research and education.”

The Advisory Group is now reviewing the applications and a response to applicants can be expected in early April.

This was the second call for proposals made by the FWI Advisory Group. In the first round, organizers called for projects aimed at enhancing the student experience at McMaster. The process resulted in 54 applications, 29 of which received funding or were endorsed. Many of these projects are already underway.

Each project approved for FWI funding will receive up to $5000 in support through the President’s Fund which is made possible through generous donations by McMaster Alumni, as well as through the Provost’s Academic Priorities Fund.
