Opportunities abound at MacServe Day of Learning

Day of Learning

The MacServe Day of Learning will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4. Participants will have an opportunity to provide meaningful assistance to community groups, connect with others and witness the benefits associated with community engagement.

This year, participants in the MacServe Day of Learning can choose to donate their time and energy to one of more than 28 organizations.

Now in its 12th year, MacServe Day of Learning is an annual one-day event organized by the Student Success Centre that involves service-learning excursions in Hamilton and Mississauga. New locations for McMaster alumni include Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal and Boston.

Partner organizations include a number of retirement and long-term care homes, environmental organizations, social service groups and centres for youth.

In addition to learning about various issues in the community, participants will have an opportunity to provide meaningful assistance to community groups, connect with others and witness the benefits associated with community engagement.

The MacServe Day of Learning will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4.
