Thursday evening marks the beginning of McMaster’s Alumni Weekend.

Running until June 3, the weekend includes a lecture by Myron Scholes, a McMaster alumnus and Nobel laureate in economic sciences. Scholes will speak about the global macro economy on June 2 in Gilmour Hall Room 111 at 2 p.m.

This year also marks the class of 1962’s golden anniversary. That class includes University Chancellor Lynton “Red” Wilson, who with President Patrick Deane will host a luncheon in honour of classes holding their 45th, 50th, 55th, 60th, 65th or 70th reunions.

The Alumni Gallery and Alumni Association awards dinner will be May 31, honouring the achievements of alumni and student leaders, innovators and global citizens.
