McMaster’s David Braley Athletic Centre (DBAC) will take on a pinkish hue this week, as the university Athletics & Recreation Department celebrates THINK PINK week in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Since 2007, Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) has held fund-raising events across the country with proceeds going to support the CBCF, with almost $1-million being raised in support of breast cancer research and affiliated support programs.

McMaster Athletics & Recreation will be running daily events to raise funds, along with hosting several varsity events to help generate awareness and additional money in support of the cause.

It is a jam-packed varsity calendar this week:

Thursday, February 11, M & W Volleyball vs. Ryerson, Games at 6 & 8 p.m. (Burridge Gym)
Friday, February 12, M & W Basketball vs. Ottawa, Games at 6 & 8 p.m. (Burridge Gym)
Saturday, February 13, M & W Volleyball vs. Toronto, Games at 12 & 2 p.m. (Burridge Gym)
Saturday, February 13, M & W Basketball vs. Carleton, Games at 6 & 8 p.m. (Burridge Gym)

In addition to the varsity events, there will be daily activities and contests this week, held between 12-noon and 3 p.m. in the David Braley Athletic Centre to drive the fund-raising effort:

Tuesday, February 9: Slo-Motion Video Booth
Wednesday, February 10: Pie-In-The -Face Challenge
Thursday, February 11: BioSteel Bowling
Friday, February 12: STICK-IT to Cancer

THINK PINK t-shirts will be on sale all week and there will be daily raffles and prizes for participants that want to drop over to DBAC to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
