McMaster continues to be ranked among the country’s best universities, earning one of the top spots in this year’s Maclean’s magazine rankings.

McMaster retained its rank as Canada’s sixth best medical/doctoral university. It also ranked second in total research dollars received, behind the University of Toronto.

McMaster is ranked highly when it comes to having the “least red tape” on campus, residence living, mental health services and steps taken to prevent sexual assault, giving it a ranking of fourth overall in student satisfaction.

McMaster is ranked sixth out of 49 universities when it comes to overall national reputation.

“These are outstanding results for McMaster,” says President Patrick Deane. “Our faculty and staff work extremely hard to ensure that our students get the best university experience possible, and these rankings are testament to their success.”

Earlier this year, McMaster was ranked among the world’s top one per cent of universities by Times Higher Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities, and the QS World University Rankings.
