Fresh off a solid performance at the CIS East-West Bowl, McMaster quarterback Kyle
Quinlan has been invited to participate in the training camp of the Canadian Football
League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

A native of South Woodslee, Ontario, Quinlan was informed by Marauders offensive
coordinator Jon Behie that the Ticats had asked if he was available and he jumped at
the chance to play with the pros. “Right now they only have three quarterbacks signed,
so I think they just need an extra arm to help out at camp,” said Quinlan.

Heading into his fourth season at McMaster, Quinlan calls the invite an unbelievable
learning opportunity. “I'll be on the field with the quarterbacks all day, attending every
meeting and trying to pick up pointers about breaking down film, how training camp
works, and getting prepared to play. I'll be trying to soak up as much as possible.”

As a CIS athlete, Quinlan will not be involved in any live reps or play in the pre-season.

This is the second year Hamilton has brought a CIS quarterback to camp, as Ottawa's
Brad Sinopoli had a brief stop at the 2010 training camp. “It's similar to what they did
with Brad,” said Quinlan. “But I'e been told that I'll be there for the entire camp rather
than just three or four days.”

During the 2010 season, Quinlan set the McMaster record for touchdown passes, was
asked to work at the CFL evaluation camp, and played in the East-West Bowl.

“I feel ecstatic right now. This can only be great
exposure for me looking to the future. It's just a great opportunity to become a better
quarterback.”

Tiger-Cat rookies report to camp, being held at McMaster's Ron Joyce Stadium, on June 1.
Veteran players report for camp on June 5.
