Marauders past, present and future will come together at McMaster this Friday and
Saturday for the University's annual Marauder Weekend.

Hosted by Athletics & Recreation, this year marks the 24th time the University has
celebrated what some call a “winter Homecoming”.

Weekend festivities will include alumni events, varsity games and activities for
prospective student-athletes.

“Marauder Weekend is a great opportunity for us to showcase what we have to offer to
potential student-athletes as well as for us to reconnect with our alumni,” said Jeff
Giles, director of Athletics & Recreation. “It's really a great event and we're all looking
forward to it.”

Festivities begin on Friday with a varsity volleyball doubleheader in the Burridge Gym
as the Marauders take on the York Lions beginning at 6 p.m.

Saturday will see alumni games for men's and women's basketball and women's
volleyball as well as the ever-popular Hawkrigg Cup alumni flag football tournament.

Potential students will get the opportunity to explore McMaster's world-class facilities
during campus tours and Student Life presentations.

The day also includes afternoon basketball between the Marauders and Guelph
Gryphons, with the volleyball teams back in action in the evening.
