Defensive lineman Scott Caterine and cross-country runner Victoria Coates have been awarded the Dr. Jack Kennedy and Dr. Mary E. Keyes awards, respectively.

The athletes were honoured with the awards, presented annually to one male and one female undergraduate who best exemplify outstanding academic achievement and athletic excellence, at this weekend’s Marauder Scholar Brunch.

“We are so incredibly proud of the student-athletes being recognized for their academic performance,” said Jeff Giles, director of Athletics and Recreation. “The Marauder Scholars exemplify what our mission is with McMaster Athletics, which is to achieve each person’s maximum potential.”

More than 200 athletes were named Marauder Scholars at the brunch. Marauder Scholars excel both in academics and in sport, and achieve a minimum 9.5 grade-point average.
