McMaster remains in the top echelon of the country’s leading universities, according to this year’s Maclean’s magazine rankings.

The University is sixth when compared with Canada’s other medical-doctoral institutions and receives high marks for its quality of education, high graduation rates and commitment to innovation.

“McMaster continues to perform well, placing among the top universities in Canada and ranking with the very best around the world,” says President Patrick Deane. “When you review all of the rankings released this fall, McMaster’s students, faculty and staff should be proud of the results.”

While individual rankings provide a snapshot in time and use varying methodologies, they do provide insights into trends and help map progress. In a series of reports released over the past few weeks, McMaster’s quality of teaching and learning, student satisfaction, record of innovation and positive national reputation all have received high marks.
