A new video series hosted by a McMaster alumnus aims to tackle stigmas, offer sound advice and break down barriers to information for postsecondary students.

State of Mind explores the relevant social, economic and political issues that are prominent at the postsecondary level of education,” says host Krishna Nadella, in the series’ introductory video. “We’d love to hear from you, and your state of mind, after each webisode.”

Nadella is an alumnus from the Class 0f 2002, with a degree in biochemistry. He also holds an MBA from Pennsylvania State University, and sits on the university’s MBA Alumni Advisory Board.

He’s currently based in New York City, where he works as head of fixed income/OTC derivatives valuation at Bloomberg. Prior to Bloomberg, he briefly worked as a structured finance product specialist for Moody’s Analytics, and also worked in Citigroup’s Investment Bank as an assistant vice president in their Global Structured Credit Products division.

Nadella has a deep family roots at McMaster — his father worked in the Faculty of Engineering, and his family still lives in the Hamilton area. Nadella is also a member of the McMaster Alumni Association’s Board of Directors.

During the inaugural half-hour webisode, Nadella speaks with Dr. Michael McGee (Borough of Manhattan Community College) and Jennifer Baumgardner (The Feminist Press) about sexual freedom, experimentation and beliefs at the postsecondary level.
