Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz will give the next Knowledge@DeGroote seminar in Toronto.

Stiglitz, who has been named one of the 100 most influential people in the world, is a globally-recognized economic educator. He won the 2001 Nobel Prize in economics for his analyses of markets with asymmetric information.

The Columbia University professor will explain the causes and implications of the current economic malaise – felt particularly strongly in the United States – and discuss what is needed to get out of it.

The Great Malaise? Explaining America’s Slow Recovery will take place April 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Trump International Hotel and Tower.
