Everything you need to know about Welcome Week

It’s that time of year again.

Thousands of students will begin their university lives this weekend when they begin moving into campus residences.

Welcome Week activities will begin immediately, with the distribution of MacPasses and opening ceremonies scheduled to take place Aug. 29.

Highlights of the week include concerts in Faculty Hollow, MacQuest tours of McMaster and the surrounding Hamilton community, an airband competition and a community clean-up and barbecue.

A series of events focused on health, wellness and sexual consent are also scheduled throughout Welcome Week. They include an interactive talk with Kim and Tiq Milan and a performance by internationally-renowned spoken word artist Shane Koyczan.
