Alumnus lands $120,000 investment from CBC’s Dragons

Hangry app.1

Tired of waiting in line for your food?

How about texting in your order and picking it up when it’s ready?

That’s the simple premise behind the ‘Hangry‘ app, developed by McMaster Business alumnus Mark Scattolon and friend Fabian Raso.

The app allows take-out customers to pay for food on the go, and ensures food is ready for pick up when they get to the restaurant.

The pair successfully pitched their creation to CBC’s Dragons’ Den this week, securing $120,000 in funding from three members of the panel of investors.

The entrepreneurs have been operating out of the downtown Hamilton Forge business accelerator – a partnership between McMaster, the Innovation Factory and Mohawk College.

The Forge supports the growth of tech-related businesses by connecting entrepreneurs with the people, resources and inspiration they need to attain their goals.
